8/8/16

Hello friends and family and PPM missionaries.

This week was a typical paper filled week. It was a hopefully exciting week for Ralph though. We still don't know the outcome of his birthday confrontation with his family, but on Thursday we got to see him with Bro Anderson. Ralph has days where he has his worries showing more than his want to be baptized. It was a good visit this week so it was all up to him on Sunday. The prediction is that it went badly and we'll have to clean up the ashes from the family blowing up to his want to be baptized. But we fasted for him anyways.

On Wednesday we got to go to the DC temple. We were there from 12:30-7:30. We got to do every ordinance you could think of. It was pretty cool because I got to take family names that I had gotten...back in october 2014... I could've sworn I got them done but I guess not! It was cool though because over half of them were from Baltimore so its like they got to go to their own temple. I got to remember and learn a lot more from the temple. It was an amazing time.

Another highlight was on Saturday when we got to got to play bingo with around 20 older folks. Some of them really put the pressure on to have the pace of game go quickly. If they aren't happy they have no problem saying it out loud, loudly. Haha but it was a great time and probably all of them enjoyed us. Here's the craziest thing about my week. First off we had a day that absolutely was terrible. We were left walking around neighborhood trying to talk to people for hours. I prayed that we need help, it was obvious to me that our efforts weren't doing much of anything. So the next day we cleaned our apartment-which has nothing to do with the prayer just important back story. As I was vacuuming I hit a plug socket, but not the one that had the vacuum plugged in, don't freak out. Point is I tapped it and half of the electricity went out in the house, which also meant one of our two AC units was out. (We're looking for a better place to live). That evening we got the landlord over and he got an electrician over as well. While both of them were there we had a nice time getting to know both of them, you know, being a friend and such. When the Landlord left we got to know the electrician even more. Not only was he funny but a Christian as well. We got to know a lot of his story, some things only his wife and brother know. We got the chance to tell him about the Prophet Joseph Smith and the Book of Mormon. By the end of his 4 hours at our house he gladly accepted a Book of Mormon. He was excited to read it because he was tired of the Bible being shoved down his throat. He appreciated and specifically said that he was impressed that we didn't shove our message down his throat either. We gave the book to him like a friend would give a gift to another. It was really awesome. I have prayed a good while to have him want to learn more. It would be a great thing.

Good things to come in Lititz, we've been able to meet a few people once then see them randomly again and get their number. It should be good things to come
